My name is Carlos Gustavo Curado, brazilian, married, 2 daughters. 31 years old.
I am a graphic designer, specialized in photshop comps, photo manipulation, page layout and graphic projects for magazines and books. Also photography enthusiast.
History
Since 1999 I work on EmbalagemMarca magazine, as art director. EmbalagemMarca is one of the most influent and respected packaging magazines of South America. I am responsible for all magazine's page layout, photo production/direction, graphic information, photo manipulation and other art-related material, like visual communication for the magazine events, Prêmio EmbalagemMarca and Ciclo de Conhecimento. I also designed the websites of those events. Eventually, I make ads for some companies, some of them can be seen here.
During this time, I also made a few freelances, such as Enfoco Santo Amaro magazine. This magazine targeted to the neighbourhood of Santo Amaro, in São Paulo city. I art directed it, made some photos, photo manipulation, some ads, and plenty other stuff. These magazines and other works can be seen on my profile on Scribd. I have other interesting work, which I will keep posting here.
Characteristics
I am a dedicated, loyal person by nature with great teamwork spirit. Also got skills on page layout, art direction, photo manipulation, photography, pre-press, and even some webdesign.
What do I want?
I'm seeking for a job opportunity in Montréal, Canada, or nearby cities. I have family living there, a brother and his wife, for almost 2 years. I went to visit them with my family and we just loved the country, the lifestyle, the city and the people there. So far, I'm not a french speaker yet, but I am willing to learn it. Today we live in São Paulo, Brazil, but our wish, from our heart, is to live there.
